I first discovered Rancho La Puerta in the early 80’s when I was reading an article in Vogue Magazine about the top spas around the world. I thought to myself “That sounds like a place I would love, I’m going to go there some day!” Fast forward 30 years of a busy career and raising kids, and the timing was finally right for me to book my first visit … and I was hooked. It felt like home. The trees, the mountain views, the smell of the air, everything made me relaxed and happy.
When I received the information about the expansion of The Residences, I immediately booked a tour so that I could see the area firsthand. I loved everything about the plan – the beautiful designs, the Home Wellness Technology and the vineyard! The time was not right for me to buy an entire home, but the idea and dream stayed with me. When the announcement was made about The Residence Club the following year, I was thrilled! To be a partial owner was more in line with my current budget and the offer was a great investment. I put down my deposit for a Casita and began working on the process of becoming an owner. With busy things going on in my life it took a little longer than I had planned but the sales and planning staff has been extremely patient with me and wonderful to work with!
Just as I was getting ready to finalize the purchase of a Casita, the new plans for the Casa homes were released. I have always dreamed of a Mediterranean style home with a courtyard and this new layout for the Casas with the sunny center patio and water feature touched on this dream! I also began thinking about planning all of my trips to The Residence Club and who would be coming with me so the idea of having 3 bedrooms seemed to be a better fit. I was able to easily switch my paperwork over to purchasing a Casa and have become the first Residence Club owner of the new design! I can’t wait to spend time in this beautiful new home!!
